Leaving early

6:45 AM.. Spectacular day. Leaving the dock to go to Galiano, drive to the ferry for Vancouver.( 50 min crossing) A continuation of my musings of living on the island. There are only 2 ferries a day.. Either early ( most of the year it's dark at this hour!) or late afternoon ( drive home in the dark most of the year). Good to have reservations, they are often full in the summer. There is a gale predicted for tonight so it's possible the ferry won't run. Hope our friends get off. our ferry was full and a bit late so we got home for less than an hour before my Dr appt for my arm and physical therapy. 4 1/2 weeks after surgery, it's healing well and I'm trying to stretch muscles. I was told to wear the brace only half the time. (!) Lots more exercises to stretch but no real work yet. It's all amazing.
Full day. Summer in Seattle!
And now we are trying to relax .. Hard to watch the news of the Manchester attack.. Our hearts go out to those families.. It's all so sad and senseless. ( we are flying into Manchester in a few months....)
