Baby Magpie Update

Following on from yesterday's blip with the baby magpies in our garden, this morning I noticed an adult bird hopping along the top of the back fence and dropping down behind a large bush. I went out to investigate and found this little chap huddled up on side fence.

I managed to lean far enough over into the neighbour's garden to get shot of it.

I know magpies get a bad press, but it is nice to see that at least one of the two babies has survived 24 hours and has been found by a parent. It looks a little dishevelled than yesterday and at least it is able to get off the ground
