"Electric Bridge"

This road bridge over the River Esk in Musselburgh was built in the 60s to allow the transport of turbines for the construction of Cockenzie Power Station. Afterwards it was offered to the Town Council for a nominal sum but it was turned it down. Now the gates are closed except on Race Days when it is used for access to the Racecourse.
