White Mountain day

I like this pano, though it straightens out the encircling embrace of the hills round the gorge we climbed out of today to have lunch at Amelia's Taverna in Zourva, a tiny hamlet nestling at the foot of the White Mountains.

I think I "walked" this route about ten times on Google Earth as preparation for this holiday - I've done it in reverse but our needs were different when we had a car rather than a bus to return to. Another great day in which my pride in my knees grew at every tortured uphill step ...
