Singing the LORD’s song in a strange land?

Easily enough done in this case.

I was attending the Moderator's Reception in Parliament Hall in Edinburgh tonight.  (see extra).   The Moderator in this case being the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

But here in the crowd I found the co-Moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church.    Kevin - here with Mrs Watson.

It's not in Kevin's nature to be a stranger anywhere - and neither it should be.   We had a very interesting chat and decided that "liking people" is an essential gift for anyone following a calling into Christian ministry.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Anyway, the two denominations may represent slightly different interpretations of what it means to be a Reformed Church - but strangers in each other's houses.   God forbid!
