Buttercups and birthdays
A lovely buttercup walk this morning, starting from Harecroft, around Cullingworth and Hewenden reservoir. A bit cloudier than yesterday but very warm. Almost all the fields we crossed were full of buttercups and therefore looked sunny anyway.
I used to cross this field everyday in my youth to meet my friend on the adjacent farm and leave my wellies to then walk on the lane to catch the school bus.
Later we headed into Leeds to celebrate a special birthday for fellow blippers and friend YORKSHIREBRED.
We started with cocktails at The Alchemist and then went up to Angelica for another one! In both places all the outdoor seating was taken as the sun was well and truly out again by then.
Up to the Headrow next to Browns for something to eat before heading to the Grand to see 'The Play That Goes Wrong'. Highly entertaining! It rounded off a splendid afternoon and a special occasion for a special lady.
Hope you had a great time J! Cheers and Happy Birthday -think you are there now!
