Interesting evening spent having a go at an orinteering score event in Duxbury Park, Chorley.

Very enjoyable despite bad shoe choice, I could have done with my studs rather than trail shoes, however I do need a lesson in what the map symbols mean, I must have looked like a very confused fell runner at times!

This picture shows Bob in his camper van at the download point. We used SI dibbers for the controls on the eventwhich electronically record which checkpoints we have been to. When we finished we came to this point to dib the SI card and get our final score. Bob is the organiser of the event which includes putting out all the controls and collecting them all up again afterwards, he also collates the scores and publishes them on the website, not a small amount of work and yet he runs these events every Wednesday - Thanks Bob.
