Harbour Sunset.
Despite it being a crap shot, this looks better as a photograph than it did in real life. Funny, that. Given the warm, clear skies we've had all day today, I thought the sunset looking back over the city would be lovely; unfortunately a lot of cloud bubbled up and obscured what I'm sure would have been some pinky peachy late sunlight - you can even see a little of it shining through above the harbour in this one. Still, it was a nice but chilly evening and M and I had a wee walk around Torry Battery after our tea, which made a change from flopping on the sofa after work.
Today was M's friend's first day at my office, so I offered to take him for lunch as a welcome. Unfortunately as we got to the till, I realised my purse was on my desk - oops! Having never actually met B before, this was a little embarrassing; although M found it hilarious that I'd managed to swing a free sandwich from a stranger.
M's second day at his new job went well and by arriving/leaving 15 minutes early, he cut 20 minues off his commute. He's coming home very tired though, he must be burning nervous energy without realising as he takes on the responsibility of his new role. Still, I had a nice dinner waiting for him on his return, and after our wee jaunt to watch the sunset we chilled out while I commandeered the TV to watch Great British Bakeoff (my excuse to M being that I'd make him something nice from the show).
OK, so finally, an apology. Loads of back-blipping tonight, and I'm not even finished. There's not even really been an excuse for it; just me faffing. Once a few build up, I seem to hit some sort of wall, and although I keep up with my daily writing (it's become a real habit now), and obviously take a picture a day, I just don't seem to get round to putting them up. If you fancy a look, they all start here.
