Multnomah Falls

Tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon, located along the Historic Columbia River Highway.

We started our today in Portland with a walk in the Pearl District and also visited Powell's city of books, of course. Found two interesting books linked to my hobbies:
- The Boys In The Boat (it's about the US rowing eight and their epic quest at the 1936 Berlin Olympics)
- Photographer's Black and White Handbook, by Harold Davis, published this Feb

Then leaving Portland towards the Columbia River Gorge, with stops at the Vista House and the Multnomah Falls (see shot).

Near our motel the railway line passes and I started to count: 3 engines, and then the freight wagons. 30 ... ok ... 50 ... amazing, all wagons from the same company (Canpotex) ... 80 ... getting very long ... 95 ... can it really pass 100 wagons? ... 100 ... yes! ... 120 ... no end ... and finally 130 wagons!
