Covehithe beach
What a wonderful day. The day was totally sunny with a cool breeze and we headed to Covehithe to find the tree stumps on the beach. Although we had worked out the time of high tide we were distracted by the remains of St Andrews church nearby and arrived as the tide was going out.
A quick burst of photos took place as the tide went out and then we spent several hours on this delightful beach. The area has low cliffs which are rapidly eroding with the trees falling onto the beach. Nearby is a lagoon and nature reserve with a fenced off area to protect the nesting little terns.
Then it was back to Southwold for tea and cakes.
