Our plumber arrived to do more work on the new shower installation soon after 8 a.m. We went to the Ascension Day service at St Luke's, where we observed the minute's silence at 11 a.m. for the victims of the Manchester atrocity. After that, we drove to - yes you've guessed it - another garden centre! At least there are plenty to choose from in this area. Following some lunch and a saunter round, we did a little shopping in Tiptree and stopped for a desperately needed cup of tea before going home to see how the bathroom refit was coming along. All looking good, and not too much more to do tomorrow - hopefully the new shower will be ready to use by the end of the day.

Mum has gone to bed completely shattered. It's been a long, hot day.
