Celebrating a birthday in a lovely Asian restaurant. Like mother, like daughter and like grand daughter!! This just goes to show that curries are timeless and ageless. The food was excellent and a credit to the Walbottle area (you have to say that name in a Geordie accent to get the full effect).

The ancient kitchen telly did not work this morning on BBC channels. This was, with hindsight, a blessed relief. It was so nice not to see smarmy (Eton)Bill Turnbull and his posturing sidekick (Susanna (Debbie McGee equivalent) Reid fronting breakfast TV. It means we can now listen to radio without breakfast telly temptation....freedom from BBC middle class indoctrination at last!

Digital Switchover; all I can remember from the adverts is a cute little robot thing sitting in a lorry. A very effective public education campaign !
