Heaven Called and all the Angels Sang
Today, it took me 32 minutes to get to work on my bike... the wind was blowing against me in a temperature of 18 degrees....
On the way home it took me 22 minutes....but I did have to lay on the grass in the garden for about another 22 minutes till I could breathe again.
We took a bimble up to the Allotment, (we do love it up there); learning from the gardener next door, himself decided to apply minimal slug pellets. I did some watering and weeding, and I was delighted to find my flowers in growth mode.
The lovely allotment committee had filled up our Water Butt and both of our watering cans. I only used the water in the cans, and then refilled from the communal tanks. I'll save the water butt for later.
Then we had a quick jaunt around the town - the beach car parks and prom were still full (at 8 pm) .and then we headed home.
On the way home, I was happily singing along to the radio - and a song came on and I grinned madly.. and I said, "That's a nice song eh?" And Himself looked at me and said, "It is indeed".
And I waited for him to say, "who is it?","why is it nice", Cause he Never remembers that it was the song that was playing when he first asked me to dance.
And he said, "It's Zoom... Fat Larry's Band". And grinned at me.
And my smile was even broader.
He knew... he did. He just winds me up, but I do love him.
