St. James's Park Lake
We were quite the tourists today with a hop-on, hop-off bus pass that included a boat ride on the Thames. Also saw a bit of the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace, rested our weary feet in lovely sling chairs in St. James's Park, and topped off the day with a very good jazz combo at The Crypt, a cafe under St. Martins-in-the-Field Church.
London is wonderful! Many, many happy tourists of every hue and sound, but tempered by the tragedy at Manchester. We saw soldiers with machine guns right along with police near the Palace and Number 10 Downing St., then learned there'd been a man with a knife stopped near the Palace this morning not long before we were there.
