Inspirational...

..is a word much used but never as appropriately as tonight at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre

The Hunter Foundation charity fundraiser was an enormous event but you could have heard the proverbial pin drop during Barack Obama's truely inspirational speech which shone a brilliant and penetrating beam of hope into the dark world we presently seem to inhabit.

I was very fortunate to be a guest of businesswoman Marie Macklin who had assembled an eclectic group at her table which proved to be great company . But no matter how politically diverse we were, we were all overwhelmed with Obama's message and his determined, pragmatic , globally focussed optimism.
