Arkaroo Rock

On our last day at Wilpena Pound we visited Arkaroo Rock, a huge boulder which has fallen from the Pound walls above. This boulder is important because of the beautifully preserved aboriginal rock art on its underside. Apparently carbon dating of campfire ashes indicates that this rock has been used as a shelter for at least 15,000 years.
