Weather

Thunderstorms were promised today and, sure enough, around lunchtime the rumbling in the skies began.  We both found it unusual that, as we lunched outside,  the thunder rattled around us continuously for over half an hour.  I took my blip as the rain began and we headed indoors.  

It rained so hard that, being on the end of the terrace, the rainwater in the gutter overflowed and took out the planter on the kitchen windowsill.

As for the special blip I had been hoping to take these last couple of days, sadly I think it is not to be.  On Wednesday a friend asked me over and I took this photograph.  I have returned to the place several times but sadly no second sighting.
