Four A M

I've been watching the thunder and lightning storm as out traversed the country. If you love electric storms as I do you'll know about Blitzortung. 

This turned out to the the only photograph I took today, but I took it at about twenty to four this morning, as the whole house reverberated to the massive booms of nearby discharges. 

It was, sadly, all sheet lightning, and I didn't bother to get out the trigger I bought some time back in the hope of capturing a lightning bolt. But the pre-dawn sky was so golden, I didn't go back to sleep for ages!
