In bud

I was awake fairly early this morning - although not in response to Bailey's up-with-the-birds call at ten past four. I pottered in my PJs for a while whilst Bailey took himself off to the spare bed. Up properly just after eight and then a walk for Bailey before I went to do a food shop. I also came back with flowers and a new vase which have been put to good blip-use this evening. 

Mum and Dad were here just after 11 and Bailey was pleased to see them once the car was unpacked and he was released to offer a welcome. We've had a warm day with one heavy downpour this afternoon and quite a wind. Not a lot else done today apart from an afternoon sleep and the eating of belated birthday cake.
