50th birthday Bash

One can make detailed plans for travelling, but they can all come to nought by circumstances outwith one's control.

So it was today when we caught a bus to Inverness with onward travel from there to Elgin. Because a bus from London was late at some destination, our quick Megabus had to divert via Pitlochry and Aviemore, thus ensuring that not only did we miss our connection in Inverness, but more worryingly a foreign tourist missed his train connection to Achnasheen. Now I may be wrong, but I could put a bet on there not being another train to Achnasheen anytime soon.

Finally, after 6 and half hours, we have arrived at our destination and are all set to hit the town with son #1 and his wife for a slightly late 50th birthday bash.
