Bidder 421
She has just bid over $1500 to buy a hand made quilt at the annual MCC Relief Sale. The annual sale is intended to raise funds to relieve hunger and poverty around the world; all the quilts are made locally and donated to the sale. See sample in the extra.
So the basic activities at this sale are buying quilts (a couple of hundred or more) and relieving ones own hunger thru the consumption of exotic / traditional Mennonite foods like watermelon, roll kuchen, strawberry pies, homemade donuts, fliesch perishke, rotisseried chicken, homemade ice cream, etc.
