Early Start

So my golfing partner Henry calls me up the other day and asks me if I want to play in a team event at Bathgate Golf Club this Sunday (today) as it marks the 125th anniversary of the club.

I asked what time we would be playing and got a non committed answer of "In the morning" but I agreed.

What he failed to explain was that today was a Shotgun Start, which means all teams start at different holes on the course at the exact same time with the firing of a shotgun and that the start time was....... 8am.

Teams draw lots to see what tee they will start from meaning that you have to be at the clubhouse for 7.15 am to make sure your team is ready on your allotted tee to start at 8am.

And after all that, there was no shotgun blast just an ear drum bursting klaxon and my team failed to bring their A-Game to the table!

Today's blip is the Hawthorn blossom that's started to flower at the top of the garden :-)))
