Hare's-tail Cottongrass

Sometimes it's necessary to lie down in the grass.

It must be something to do with the cool dry weather for I'm sure I've never before seen such an abundance of what we call bog cotton. It's an amazing sight right now. 

And thank you for all your wonderful comments, stars and hearts, which are so much appreciated. I keep trying to catch up and keep getting overtaken by events. 

Ten minutes after taking this the storm clouds started to gather and thunder claps could be heard. As I was retreating back down, there were people walking up in sandals and T-shirts, carrying no protection whatsoever, heading directly into the thunderstorm without a care in the world! The rain, when it arrived, was torrential.
