Boat graveyard close up

Great day out with Evolybab - we visited Sharpness and the Purton Ship's Graveyard.  Redundant ships and barges were brought at high tide and rammed into the bank of the river where it was eroding towards the Gloucester Canal in the 1940's and 50's, It  has been very successful with the boats silting up and some of them being totally burried.  My entry for DS83 thanks to Freespiral - I think I am taking over hosting for June...
