Blackening

Apparently it's a Scottish tradition in some rural areas to "capture" the bride & groom a few days before their wedding stick them in the back of a truck and douse them in all sorts of goo and then parade them through the streets. It's the first time I've witnessed this, and judging by the smell I'm glad I was stood well back!!
