Cascading Books

This object by Alicia Martin looks like a stream of hundreds of books, subsequently frozen. Just like similar previous projects by Alicia Martin it's outside, open to all weather conditions, a place where books would not likely to be seen.

It's part of The Paper Biennial 2012 exposition in the brand new Museum Rijswijk and affiliate Meermanno Museum in The Hague where I took this picture at sunrise.

Meermanno Museum focuses on international artists working with books and letters showing their spectacular installations, films and artworks. It opened on the evening of September 1st, during the Hague Museum Night and runs until November 25th.
