Royal Arch
Model in Dundee city centre of this monstrosity (older Dundonians will shoot me for that) which was erected 1849-53 to commemorate a visit to Dundee by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1844. (Yes I know it says 1848 there - don't ask me)
It was situated between King William IV Dock and Earl Grey Dock until it was demolished in 1964 as part of a land reclamation scheme and to make way for the Tay Road Bridge.
The arch was dynamited and the rubble thrown into the docks which were then land-filled to accommodate the slip roads for the road bridge. So if you want to see the arch today, it's in bits under the road bridge.
Not long ago I blipped the demolition of those slip roads!
