Alcohol
This is plum vodka in progress.
Place about about 250 grams of plums (halved and stoned) into jar and cover with sugar, add half a litre of vodka. Shake each day for a few days until all sugar has dissolved. Allow to stand for a couple of months - strain off liquid. (These were Victoria plums - other varieties may give a darker liquid.)
Eat plums with ice cream...
Bottle strained liquor into a a suitable container and leave - if you can - as long as possible. The longer the better. I found some at the back of the shed a year or so ago and it tasted like a fine old port...
Drink the sprit neat or with tonic or soda and ice.
Enjoy...
Nothing gets wasted - except perhaps the consumer.
