For the past month two young hummingbirds have been battling with each other and bees at the feeders. Yesterday it seemed like we're now down to one hummer, a regular, or one passing through on the flight to Mexico, that's an unknown. This morning I caught a hummer & buzzer confrontation away from the feeder. It was so annoyed , but managed to win and made it's way to the feeder for a bit of a sit down, an untroubled sip .

This is quite a sight, a mating Praying Mantis couple. She looks positively bursting with eggs. He should look out, the normal progression could seal his fate soon. She often eats her mate...
