This is my drooping peony rose that defines the moment as well as sums up my day. Every year they bloom just in time to be weighed down by the rain, and blown by the wind – now the petals are dropping, still beautiful, but slightly melancholy...

The only other excitement this morning was when I tipped a pot of coffee over – who knew it could travel so far? I’ve even had to mop the kitchen floor, and that certainly wasn’t on the agenda today ;)
