MonoMonday: Defining the Moment/Ephemeral
This photo defines the moment when we sang "Happy Birthday" to my Dad who is 94 today. 94 candles might have involved a risk of a major conflagration so we only used one - which he was able to blow out in one breath without any problem. He was smiling broadly, hardly surprising as he was about to devour a large slice of the cake :-)
Ephemeral? Well the dictionary definition is "lasting for a very short time." which may seem odd in the context of 94 years. But in the context of the universe being 13 billion years old one could argue that anyone's whole lifetime is an ephemeral moment (he says, waxing philosophical).
In spite of the weather we had a good day, driving out of the city to Wallington Hall, one of my Dad's favourite local National Trust properties. We managed a bit of a walk round the grounds in between showers and then spent time in the house.
Many thanks are due to SkiMe who's kept us on our tioes with some superb MM challenges this month.
MrsC is now preparing us a tasty lasagne - yummy!
