Sunrise

We all decided to get up for the sunrise today, as it doesn't rise until just after 7 am here in Spain. Cameras and buckets and spades at the ready, we made the short walk to the beach..... The sky was clear, except for a big bank of cloud on the horizon! Of course, this meant that we couldn't watch the sun until it had cleared the bank of cloud but it still cast a lovely soft light which became so much more vibrant once the sun had fully risen. So lovely to have the beach mostly to ourselves - just a few others occasionally strolling along the water's edge and quite a few others getting their daily exercise by jogging along the promenade.

Home for breakfast before returning for more beach time. Then siesta and ice cream - not at the same time!
