Ullapool

A long drive today from Scrabster to Ullapool via a few tourist attractions - the main event being Smoo Cave in Durness. Exciting and very interesting - our guide was very enthusiastic and informative about this natural wonder. The weather to Ullapool was pretty 'dreich' but that made the scenery more dramatic. A walk along the waterfront followed by some food at the Seaforth Hotel and then a dram at The Ceilidh Place and now early to bed. It's unbelievable how tiring driving on single track roads is. Much concentration is required and it feels like you've driven twice the amount of miles you really have. Definitely worth it though. A climb up Stac Pollaidh tomorrow before driving to our next stop at Laide.
