Bog Sage

I split and transplanted these perennials last winter as they were taking up far too much space next to my vegetable garden. I didn't want to get rid of them totally as the insects and honey eaters love them so I relocated them to parts of the garden where their sprawling size and growth wouldn't be problematic. They've done really well and are such low maintenance food plants for insects and small birds, as well as providing a great splash of colour at this time of year and into winter.
I've played around with this photo a bit and the extras show further cropping (hairy) detail and the original colour version.
