The Englefield Estate is a thriving community consisting of farmland, woodlands, residential and commercial properties. It is a beautiful little village and it is easy to imagine that little has changed for many years.
Englefield is named after the battle there, between the Saxons & Danes in AD 871. It is thought to mean "Englishmen's (Battle) Field". or "Field of angels" becoming Englefield in time.
