I hate heights!

This was taken from the 63rd floor of the Jumeirah Hotel, the tallest building in Abu Dhabi. On the left are two major building projects, all construction is on man-made islands and so typical of the area. Abu Dhabi is a fascinating place and in 1958, huge offshore oil reserves were discovered and a year later onshore reserves were also found. It was not until 1962 that the oil exports began, leading Abu Dhabi on to the road of unbelievable wealth.
