Kotuku (NZ White heron)

I  was in Christchurch and between appointments so I went down to the estuary to see if there were any interesting birds about.

This kotuku took it into his head to fly off just as I arrived.  I thought I'd blown out his feathers but am pretty happy with it now that I have it on the big screen.
