Speckled wood Pararge aegeria
Green-veined white Pieris napi
Garden chafer Phyllopertha horticola

Another warm but sultry day. I think this is the first time I've photographed a green-veined white butterfly, and definitely the first time I've blipped one. Same goes for the chafer beetle! I've often found its larvae while weeding and thrown them out for the birds to enjoy.
Daughter and son-in-law are coming to stay for a few days. They'll probably be here by the time I return home from table tennis tonight: hoorah!
