The Age of Steam
Pipework atop the firebox of British Railways Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive No 80064, built at Brighton in 1953, seen from the footbridge between the platforms at Sheffield Park Station on the Bluebell Railway.
Today's 'Extras', also taken on a stroll around the station, sheds & workshops, show another British Railways Standard Class locomotive - 9F No. 92240, built in 1958 - inside the steam shed; and a more 'classic' sight of the Maunsell Locomotive Society's 1938-39 'Q' Class No. 30451 about to head off with the last train of the day, the 16:00 to East Grinstead.
