Cartmel Racecourse

Living close to Cartmel has its disadvantages when the races are on as it impedes getting anywhere. The races were on yesterday and will be on again tomorrow so I took advantage of the break to take Mum and Dad on a short tour of the village. The entrance to the village car park actually crosses the racecourse. We managed a short walk and visited the villages stores for Mum to purchase some local produce gifts for her sister who lives in Manchester. We had spent the morning in the lovely town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Our timing was perfect as it rained later than expected and threw it down not long after we returned home.
