Red-headed Cardinal Beetle
I went on a bug-hunt after I arrived home this evening, as I hadn't taken any photos today.
I soon found this little fellow, doing the breast-stroke in a pot full of water. I spoke to him nicely and told him that I would save him, but in return I would like him to sit still for me for a minute or two. Deal struck, I fished him out on a stick, and hey presto!
May I present my new friend, Mr. Red-headed Cardinal Beetle (with one curly antenna which I think he is trying to dry) still attached to his saviour stick.
This is my contribution to this week's Tiny Tuesday, hosted by JDO.
P.S. Thanks so much for the starts and hearts for yesterday's bedraggled poppy - that was most unexpected.
