Alium Macro

Having done an alium monochrome last night I was rather at a loss about what to photograph for tonight's Tiny Tuesday Challenge but then I realised that it might be worth trying an alium macro. Given that the overall blooms are 2-3 inches across obviously I needed to go in quite closeand used a 100mm macro lens with extension tubes to do this. As this lens combination gave me minimal depth of field and the prospect of doing a focus stack was totally out of the question as the flowers were blowing about in the breeze I decided to give some idea of the internal stem structure by taking a shot of the stems and combining the two exposures.
