Tiny Tuesday - Jessica
After I finished my morning school run, I visited a friend down in Paxton near the English border. We used to work together in Boots and during a particularly bad winter, she stayed a few times in my spare room as I lived a lot nearer to the store. She has retired now and is working a few hours a week for a local animal rescue.
At the moment she is hand rearing this wee girl. The kitten probably came from a feral litter originally but was picked up by a member of the public after a crow was seen to drop her! Her eyes were only just open at the time and now, two weeks later she seems to be thriving. It is not an easy task to hand rear a tiny kitten, four-hourly feeds of a special formula from a syringe then she must be groomed and have her tummy "licked" by using a damp cotton wool pad so that she toilets. Fingers crossed that she continues to grow for the next few weeks so that she can go to the new home that is already waiting for her.
