Northern Flicker

After chasing a few scrubs jays around with no luck, this northern flicker decided to nicely pose for me in the rain....

Some good news on my dad today... All of his doctors are in agreement that my dad should go into palliative care and not hospice... This will allow him to still get some physical and mental therapy while discontinuing most of his medications except the ones that keep him comfortable.. Now we just need to find a place for him that has a bed.. The place we want to send him (a very highly rated place) was full..

I'll take any good news I can get.....
