Meadows between Ivelet and Muker - Swaledale

An early morning  bird walk between 05.30 and 08.30 saw: grey wagtail, wrens, dipper, common sandpiper, chiff-chaff, spotted fly catcher, starlings, curlew, lapwing, swifts, swallows, house martins, sand martins, green finch, mallard, oyster catcher, woodcock, pheasant, sparrows, dunnock, blackbirds, thrush, moorhen, jackdaw  and heard a cuckoo.  With an election ahead got thinking about our environment, whose it of and how can we best look after it….

Later today up Gunnerside Gill- Ring Ouzel.
