High moorland...

walking this morning, a beautiful hot and sunny day. Surrounded by Curlew and Lapwings, being very vocal annoyed by my presence . Then watched a Cuckoo being chased for quite some distance by a tiny Meadow Pipit. Everything is tinder dry. Suddenly found an unexpected Osprey nest! On the way down found these lovey Painted Lady butterflies feeding on the Birds Foot Trefoil. On the river bank the first Thyme was in flower (burst into song!).
