Mapping mammals
I spent the afternoon in Old Aberdeen, at my old place of work, attending the launch of a new Mammal Atlas of the North East of Scotland and the Cairngorms. I had authored the section on the European mole Talpa europaea, as well as providing some photographs, and so I got a free copy. That fairly gladdened my old Yorkshire heart!
The "extra" is of irises, which opened overnight in our garden.
