Mein München: F wie Flauchersteg
My Munich: F stands for Flauchersteg
After all that time I almost forgot about my other alphabetical series on Munich streets, that have some importance for me. Today's entry is Flauchersteg, which is basically synonymous to Summer in Munich. It's here where you meet for a barbecue at the river, taking a swim, and/or naked sunbathing (no, I'm not kidding). It's also here where you can see what excessive use of natural surroundings can do to the enviroment - at least that's what the neighbours claim.
The Flauchersteg (Flaucher being a name, -steg meaning footbridge) is a wooden pedestrian bridge, that connects the areas east of the river Isar around the zoo to the river islands and to the western river banks around Brudermühlstraße.
Selective colouring as per the series.
