On the half hour

On the half hour, the railway crossing barriers come down and there is nothing to do but wait. The London train (up) and the Exeter train (down) arrive at the station within five minutes of each other, so the barriers come down only once every hour.
People with dogs, having walked through the field by the river, have to wait, and the cars of course.
And would that be a blipper taking pictures of the train??!!
