Green man

He's not someone that you can easily see. You might catch a movement in the corner of your eye but, when you turn to look, there is just a branch moving in the wind or a scattering of seeds drifting through a shaft of light. You might sense that something has just, only just, moved away - so very recently that nothing else has had time to replace it.
He's also not someone that you can easily think about. Thoughts of him slide off to rest upon other things - sunlight or the sound of insects or the smell of bruised leaves. You have to use the corner of your mind.
